MMA GUIDE: 5 TIPS - HOW TO PLAY IN UFC MATCHES

The live sport is finally back - and as we have longed for! The world's largest MMA organization is hosting one of its most star-studded galas to date in the form of UFC 249: Gaethje vs. Ferguson, which takes place in Jacksonville, Florida during the night until Sunday.

With the corona pandemic, other major sports leagues have continued to pause. In the absence of competition, more people than expected are expected to watch this weekend's UFC matches.

And what increases the excitement more than betting money?

1. Match winner
The most basic option in MMA betting is of course to choose match winners. Who do you think is the winner in a certain fight? If you are right, the game goes in no matter how the fighter you bet on goes to secure the win. Knockout, submission or verdict does not matter - you simply win money as long as you choose the right side. As in all betting, it's about determining game value and weighing your chances of winning against the potential payout, when deciding whether to put your money on a winning favorite - or risk more by betting on an underdog who can bark.

Dominick Cruz defeats Henry Cejudo - odds: 2.87

This is a very interesting and playable odds. Because in this case, it is not really Cruz's recent achievements that decided the odds, but rather they are based on the assumption that the ex-champion has been gone for a long time and is no longer what he once was. But despite his absence of almost three and a half years, I think "The Dominator" can make an epic comeback and win back the belt again. He has done it before, and according to his own statement does not have the same injury problems at present. In addition, I see him as a difficult style match for Cejudo.

2. Profit method
As in all sports betting: the greater the risk, the better the odds. One way to be able to win more money is therefore to specify your bets - for example by not only choosing the winner, but also how the person wins. In MMA, it is possible to win through T / KO, submission, verdict or disqualification. You can either choose how you think a certain fighter will win a match, or just how the match itself is decided - without choosing a winner for that matter. Again: the greater the risk, the better the odds.

Johan Taliercio tips:

Francis Ngannou defeats Jairzinho Rozenstruik via KO, TKO, DQ or submission - odds: 1.66

Admittedly not a huge odds, but if you know Ngannou, you know that there are great chances that the match will end with his opponent on the mat. Given this, one may think that a profit of 66% of the bet is really good

3. Round betting
Round betting is another common way to play MMA. Here there is the opportunity for great variation - you can, for example, bet that fighter X wins in a certain round, that the match itself takes place in a certain number of rounds or answer yes / no to the question of whether the fight expires. It is also possible to combine both round betting with winning method, for example that fighter Y wins via submission in round two.

Ashah Tafari tips:

Does Greg Hardy vs. Yorgan De Castro time out? Yes - odds: 3.00

These two heavyweight giants are admittedly known for their knockouts and both definitely have the chance to end the match with a bang. But they have also run out of time before, and I think they will respect each other's power enough that it can happen in this fight as well. I am thinking in particular of Hardy, who showed a smarter tactic and went to court in his last two matches.

4. Odds
Now that we have established the most basic in MMA betting, it's time for a little premium. The human factor can often lead to what is called over-odds - which you want to learn to find. Let us explain… The odds are set by experts, and are then affected by how the players choose to bet. This can sometimes result in odds that do not necessarily reflect reality - and which therefore have a disproportionately large game value. It is important that you as a player make your own assessment first - and then compare with the odds. Maybe you yourself are convinced that a fighter will win his match, while the same athlete turns out to be a big underdog according to the odds makers.

Johan Taliercio tips:

Justin Gaethje defeats Tony Ferguson in round 1 - odds: 8.00

Gaethje has finished his last three opponents in the first round, and although there is much to suggest that Ferguson does not finish so early, eight times the money is still a very nice win if it should hit.

5. Combinations
Last but not least, we have the best way to win a lot of money in a short time with a low stakes: namely to combine different games with each other - in one and the same coupon. Almost all different games can be combined with each other in any way. You can either build a five with different match winners, or mix different games wildly. The bigger the coupon - the higher the odds. Just remember that the whole game is lost if you have a single error on the coupon, if you choose a regular multiplayer game.

Ashah Tafari tips:

Fabricio Werdum defeats Aleksei Oleinik, Carla Esparza vs. Michelle Waterson runs out of time and Vicente Luque vs. Niko Price does not run out of time - total odds: 1.94.

I see Werdum as a better fighter than Oleinik in almost every way, where only the long absence is a question mark - but I simply do not see how Oleinik can win. Esparza and Waterson very often run out of time and there are good reasons to assume such an outcome this time as well. Finally, the opposite can be said of Luque and Price, who both like to take risks and close. That match is, incidentally, a rematch, after Luque won the first meeting via submission. If you combine these three games, you have a coupon with a really strong odds in terms of the chance of winning, which I consider to be very high.
